Replacing ceiling fan blades?
I replaced a 52 inch ceiling fan with a 44 inch ceiling fan. My question is, can i replace the blades with 52 inch blades? Will it burn out the motor?
If the blade holes line up you should have no problem. You won't have an issue of the fan being off balance because all of the holes in the blades and the mounting points on the fan are all manufactured the same.

Hunter is now owned by Home Depot. They make many good fans and some not so good. The difference between a cheap fan and a good one is in the motor. A cheap fan has a smaller motor and almost all of them make noise when running. You can expect to pay

The Minka-Aire Fan F518-WH is a Concept II Flush Mid-Size Ceiling Fan with the RC212 – Three Fan Speeds, Forward / Reverse Light Dimmer Remote in the White motor finish. There does seem to be a bit of noticable fan hub runout on high speed but no fan wobble or vibration. This Ceiling Fan is from the Concept II 44 Collection and is UL Indoor rated. The Concept requires 75% less time and labor to assemble than conventional ceiling fans. The fan motor itself is pretty heavy and Minka Aire was nice enough to include a hook on the mounting plate for the sole purpose of hanging the motor during installation. The blades simply snap in and can be removed Minka-Aire Fans F518-WH if necessary by releasing a hidden catch. The fan is very quiet and moves a good amount of air. The fan came packaged very well which from the start gave me a good impression of the quality of this product. I would recommend this fan. The light output is equivalent to a standard 100 watt bulb but the halogen bulb itself is tiny.
