Mary Hodson, executive director of Mental Health America of Porter County said they hope to net $10,000, which will be used to provide critical services for county residents, such as mental health advocacy, education, prevention and support services. VALPARAISO | This weekend, the 27th annual Antiques and Collectibles Show, Treasures of the Past, comes to the Porter County Expo Center with funds benefiting Mental Health America of Porter County. One of the programs Hodson said is crucial for county residents is financial support for mental health medications. Suicides are up throughout the state and we provide services for suicide prevention and military/family support," Hodson said. "We are the only organization in the county that will provide support for mental health medication because it's not seen as a crisis because of the stigma which is based on misinformation and lack of understanding.

  :)  This desk is actually an old artists' desk that I've had since I was probably 12 or 13.   So, from bottom to top - knits and bottom-weights,   I didn't get a great picture, but those compartments are where I keep my scissors, rulers, pattern weights , etc. a bookshelf with my glue gun and glue related paraphernalia, sewing machine manuals and books, fabric paint, dye, and a basket on top with all of my needles and feet and whatnot.   Under my ironing board to the left is a pot (. ) where I keep my freezer paper and rolled-up patterns waiting to be traced.   Here's my desk. This here green metal shelf has really impressed me.   I totally didn't want to use it in here - it's hideous.   It's great....
