By noon tomorrow, Dominion expects to complete the assessment of damage and have an estimate of when restoration for all customers will be complete. Dominion crews in Virginia and North Carolina are assessing damage and working with local emergency personnel today to return electrical service to 1. The Hurricane Irene restoration effort is the company's second largest behind only Hurricane Isabel. "We have begun the restoration process following the extensive damage brought by Hurricane Irene. Damage assessment, overall estimate of restoration time to be available by noon Monday. More than 6,000 personnel to be involved in the restoration.

We also have those portable gas stoves that we use for hot pot/shabu shabu. So my thought was to make something that I could reheat easily over those gas stoves. I sliced open the sausages and scraped the meat in. You can also slice it in if you want. As it turns out, it's probably one of the better pots of chili. So I decided to make a huge pot of chili in my dutch oven. Or even over our gas grill. The chicken breast was something the I had sitting in the fridge. Figured it's better :) First I browned the onions, then the meat. But the wind could still knock our power down for who-knows-how-long....
